Adler University scores 780 — these providers rank higher on Verdica's composite trust score.
The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from accreditation status, Title IV outcomes, and IPEDS data maintained by accreditors and the Department of Education. A score of 780 places Adler University in IL in the strong (740–799) band. The score reflects publicly available regulator data — it is not a rating from Verdica itself and does not incorporate paid reviews or advertising.
Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from accreditors and the Department of Education. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of education compliance — accreditation standing, graduation and default rates, and financial responsibility — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from accreditors and the Department of Education: accreditation status, Title IV outcomes, and IPEDS data. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. See the "source data current" indicator on the entity page for the last successful refresh.

I'm currently in the Chicago PsyD program at Adler and have had a really good experience so far. I wanted an APA accredited l program, and having faculty with experience in the APA accreditation process was a big plus for me. The professors have been supportive, the coursework is challenging but fair, and the program does a great job emphasizing multicultural competence IMO. Overall I'm really glad I chose Adler. Definetly not an easy program, but it's been worth it.

The professors in the psychology program have been some of the most genuine, intelligent, and approachable people I’ve learned from. You can tell they actually care about students succeeding, not just academically but personally too. The tuition is definitely high, and I think people are valid in pointing that out, but I also feel like I’ve gotten a really unique and meaningful experience here that I wouldn’t trade. Overall, I’m really glad I chose Adler.
Tuition can be expensive and gave me pause; however, after examining the grad curriculum I came away impressed. Amazing and growing institution, especially with admin changes. Breadth of opportunities are well worth it - especially in their doctorate and masters programs. They have made some significant changes and become much better for it. 10/10
One of the oldest and most premier institutions in the heart of Chicago. Their Doctoral program is one of the most prestigious.
⚠️ Warning Scam School. ⚠️ PRIVATE SCHOOL 'teaching' equity and equality. You will pay a significant amount in tuition, yet you are strongly discouraged from working while enrolled. For most students — especially those who relocate their entire lives to attend — this creates serious financial strain. Rent, living expenses, and unexpected costs add up quickly, and not everyone has savings or outside support to rely on. What’s more concerning is the lack of flexibility once you’re in the program. Staff are often unsupportive or unwilling to accommodate personal life circumstances. Emergencies, financial hardship, or family issues are met with rigid policies rather than understanding. If you don’t have a strong financial safety net and the ability to fully commit without outside employment, this program can quickly become overwhelming. Consider your situation carefully before committing. ⚠️ You've been warned ⚠️
Disappointing academic experience. Many other Universities now offer "dissertation only" options. So if you get to your dissertation cycle, and see that no one is cooperating with you... or that your are being pressured by the committee because your degree is costing more than what Adler would like to present in their metrics, ...just move on. There are literally another 300 options to choose from.
