Account information: When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials managed by our identity provider (Clerk).

Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, searches performed, features used, and timestamps.

Payment information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

Public regulatory data: Verdica aggregates publicly available government data about regulated entities. This data is sourced from public records and is not personally identifiable user data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain the platform; process your subscription and billing; respond to your requests and support inquiries; send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, score alerts); improve the platform and develop new features; detect and prevent fraud or abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: service providers who assist in operating the platform (Stripe for payments, Clerk for authentication, Resend for email delivery, Vercel for hosting); law enforcement when required by law; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell data to ad networks.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records).
