Most administrators have a bad attitude and act like your bothering them....Karen in the testing center has no personality or excitement about her job and instantly outs you in a downward mood. Ms Harvey in admissions got an attitude because I followed up on a message I left when she wasn't there and then proceeded to keep acting like she's doing me a favor when it's the very reason she's getting paid to be there! Would not recommend this college to anyone.

If you attend here go into any major except one that requires public safety. I was a student and noticed that Brittany Bagget only scheduled certain instructors even though I would always hear their hours aren’t guaranteed. Seems like she schedules all men, rarely woman. She constantly writes her name on the board if we ask about another instructor and says she’s the boss. To keep from scheduling certain instructors I heard it’s why our classes are always doubled booked with other classes. It’s hard to learn, focus and hear. The chapter tests are a joke because Brittany Bagget writes them. She doesn’t have a degree and when we ask and let her know that the questions don’t make sense, she has a condescending attitude like we’re wrong for not understanding. My warden can’t stand her and even said he may look for another academy to send his staff because Brittany fails people, try’s to give certain people a discount on classes then others who failed the same class. Most of my class was black and we had no black instructors to teach firearms to relate to especially woman.When Brittany shot it was rarely and always close up. She missed recoil management by a mile and is quick to remind us, if we don’t pass we don’t have a job. She says it every day, we won’t have a job. What kind of person is comfortable to say this to kids trying to make a living. I heard about an instructor Mrs A was very good but that Brittany refuses to schedule her and lies about why she’s no longer there. My friends daughter also attended the school and says Brittany shows favoritism and has too much leeway in how she schedules classes, tests, instructors etc and that she is extremely unorganized always changing the test days and high liability scheduled days. Her bosses don’t seem to mind unless we get rowdy. My friends class had a car horn contest in the parking lot lol. They tell us not to curse but most of the instructors curse. I wish the president would look into how the public safety end is ran . Dont go here, if you want to be a Correctional Officer ask your Warden to send you elsewhere. Leadership needs to be replaced first and they need more instructors so 50 kids aren’t in one classroom. Brittany put us in the auditorium with three other classes multiple times because we don’t have instructors. We even took our tests in there and sat very close together lol. I told my warden and he says he’s not surprised because Brittany is there still. So I took that to mean not to refer anyone to here for the public safety part. I told a lot of people I know about Gulf Coast, Vernon and Pat Thomas. Their schools are legit and all their instructors have degrees in their field. If I could give this place zero stars I would. President please look into this!
