Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery scores 778 — these providers rank higher on Verdica's composite trust score.
The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from accreditation status, Title IV outcomes, and IPEDS data maintained by accreditors and the Department of Education. A score of 778 places Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in AZ in the strong (740–799) band. The score reflects publicly available regulator data — it is not a rating from Verdica itself and does not incorporate paid reviews or advertising.
Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from accreditors and the Department of Education. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of education compliance — accreditation standing, graduation and default rates, and financial responsibility — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from accreditors and the Department of Education: accreditation status, Title IV outcomes, and IPEDS data. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. See the "source data current" indicator on the entity page for the last successful refresh.

Attending Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery was a transformative experience. I came in with no knowledge of guitars and left knowing how to build one from scratch and understand how it works from inside and out. The instructors are incredibly skilled and passionate about their craft, and the hands-on learning environment really sets this school apart. Bart was especially helpful when it came to navigating my financial statements and making full use of my G.I. Bill benefits. That support made a big difference and helped me focus on learning without the extra stress. Most of the time, political discussions were kept out of the School, so everyone can stay focused on their craft. One thing to note: job opportunities in Phoenix for luthiers are pretty limited. I'd recommend this school most to those planning to start their own business or who are open to relocating to other states where the industry is more active and supportive. Overall, I gained valuable skills, met great people, and left with the confidence if I continue to pursue my path in luthiery. Highly recommend for anyone serious about building guitars!

If you are in guitars and would like more than a knowledge into the construction and maintenance of these instruments. Then, this is the school for. You. It is an intensive learning curriculum, but they do offer shorter subject based weekend classes. I had the pleasure of taking one and it was quite informative.
Love it and I’m so looking forward to checking this school out ❤️
amazing
First day of Guitar Building and Repair class and I already know I am in the right place! Super knowledgeable and friendly instructors. Very reasonable tuition...lot of work.
The owner or who ever runs the place is super rude . It’s an art community act .
Unique blend of artistry and skills
I've attended this school for the set-up class as well as pickup winding. Stellar school, can't wait to attend this Fall semester.
