University of West Florida scores 780 — these providers rank higher on Verdica's composite trust score.
The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from accreditation status, Title IV outcomes, and IPEDS data maintained by accreditors and the Department of Education. A score of 780 places University of West Florida in FL in the strong (740–799) band. The score reflects publicly available regulator data — it is not a rating from Verdica itself and does not incorporate paid reviews or advertising.
Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from accreditors and the Department of Education. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of education compliance — accreditation standing, graduation and default rates, and financial responsibility — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from accreditors and the Department of Education: accreditation status, Title IV outcomes, and IPEDS data. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. See the "source data current" indicator on the entity page for the last successful refresh.

Yes. Entities can file a dispute directly from the score page, and business owners can claim their profile. Verdica reviews disputes against the underlying regulator record; the score is updated when the source data is corrected. Scores are recomputed automatically as new regulator data arrives.
Beautiful campus
I was an online student at UWF, and I had a great experience. The coursework was engaging, professors provided thoughtful feedback, and the online learning platform was solid. I also have to mention how affordable UWF is! A great value in higher education.
Applying to UWF is the worst experience you could ever have. They take over a month to tell you everything you need and drag it all out so by the time enrollment begins, it’s too late! Additionally, trying to contact ANYONE by email or phone is nearly impossible. I’ve tried repeatedly to call and email different departments (all numbers/emails provided by the UWF website and emails sent by them to my email address) and nothing. The only positive thing is that when I somehow do receive a response (never by email, still haven’t received one back, only a call back) they are polite. I just hate that I had to wait so long because now it’s too late for me to try to enroll anywhere else since I waited so long for UWF to respond (I really wanted to go here so I waited). An absolute nightmare that I wouldn’t recommend but I do hope that others experience have a more positive experience because college is way too important and expensive to be playing games like this.
Still a great place to get some Tennis or Pickleball, biking, hiking or disc golf in. Pickleball courts need a little repair. Still plenty of fun.
