Westminster Theological Seminary in California scores 780 — these providers rank higher on Verdica's composite trust score.
The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from accreditation status, Title IV outcomes, and IPEDS data maintained by accreditors and the Department of Education. A score of 780 places Westminster Theological Seminary in California in CA in the strong (740–799) band. The score reflects publicly available regulator data — it is not a rating from Verdica itself and does not incorporate paid reviews or advertising.
Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from accreditors and the Department of Education. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of education compliance — accreditation standing, graduation and default rates, and financial responsibility — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from accreditors and the Department of Education: accreditation status, Title IV outcomes, and IPEDS data. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. See the "source data current" indicator on the entity page for the last successful refresh.

Visited for a symposium. I was really impressed with the ecclesiastical and intellectual leadership of Dr Garner and Lillback, as well as the physical plant.

My experience at Westminster Theological Seminary has been incredibly valuable in preparing me for biblical counseling ministry. The seminary not only offers a rich depth of theological instruction, but also the practical care of souls through the lens of Scripture. Courses in counseling, theology, and biblical interpretation have helped me think more carefully about suffering, sanctification, relationships, and the hope of the gospel in real-life struggles. I was tentative in starting this program as a much older student, but the online program has been easy to learn and manage, and the instructors have been both challenging and gracious in helping me navigate the demands of the program. I am so very grateful for the education I am receiving through WTS, and for the opportunity to be a part of the rich fellowship of the student community that will continue long after graduation.
It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, to learn and grow in biblical, Christ-centered care through WTS. The MAC programme is both personally transformative, practical for ministry and theologically rich. As an online student I have felt welcomed into a wonderful global community and cared for as an individual too. So thankful for WTS!
As a current MAC student, I am practically drowning in an ocean of required reading =) But honestly, I love and take immense pride in WTS because it defends God’s absolute sovereignty above all else. Despite its conservative theological reputation, every lesson directly connects to practical application. Theology and life are never separate. The greatest truth I’ve learned here is that our lives, as beings made in the image of God, must ultimately reflect His glory. Soli Deo Gloria!
This place is amazing- great doctrine, great people. Would highly recommend their online Mdiv!
Westminister Theological Seminary's professors, instructors, technology, and administration are superlative. The Online Learning Platform and Online Community are excellent, with opportunities to meet-up in-person with regional-groups and On-Campus. The courses are rigorous, and the professors/instructors kind and attentive. My small-groups allow earnest discussion, as my fellow students and I learn together. Meetings are encouraging and helpful, as members become solid friends. Everyday I grow in understanding, strengthening my faith, and increasing my usefulness in family and community life.
I will be forever grateful for the faithful teaching received here. Westminster will always hold a special place in my heart because of the way the Lord used it to work on my heart.
My studies at WTS have had a profound impact on my walk with the Lord and others within my sphere of influence. The course work has increased my understanding of the Scriptures, deepened my reverence for them, and challenged me personally and intellectually. At times I had personal concerns that the online work would not be rigorous. This is most definitely not the case! WTSs requirement for online group meetings and discussions adds interaction with fellow students that can often be missing from other online theological studies. As a busy professional, husband, and father I have found the pace to be manageable and flexible. If you are considering seminary education for personal growth or vocational ministry, you will find WTS fully capable, academically rigorous, and striking a good balance to manage multiple life priorities.
