The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from certification status, quality measures, and inspection reports maintained by CMS. A score of 850 places BETZ NURSING HOME in IN in the excellent (800–850) band. The score reflects publicly available regulator data — it is not a rating from Verdica itself and does not incorporate paid reviews or advertising.
Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from CMS. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of healthcare compliance — CMS star ratings, deficiency findings, and complaint outcomes — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from CMS: certification status, quality measures, and inspection reports. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. See the "source data current" indicator on the entity page for the last successful refresh.
Common negative signals include immediate-jeopardy findings, high deficiency counts, or termination notices. Any of these appear in the underlying regulator records and pull the sub-score down; the composite reflects the weighted impact.

I would not recommend this place at all. They never have enough help. They left my husband a couple of times far too long in his wheelchair. They changed pricing too. My husband ended up passing away there, he was there for physical therapy.
My aunt is here. My first impression was one of genuine care and competence. It is a warm and welcoming home. My aunt enjoys being there
I was about to place my mother here until my daughter brought to my attention a couple of screenshots of an employee bullying one of her friends on social media using foul language and threatening to fight her after many times being told to stop. If I was you make sure you do your research of the staff that works there. I hope the facility is aware of it and if they choose to keep them employed please be aware of the business consequences.
I was here for rehab, following surgery, after an automobile accident. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a great experience with the therapists. I would not hesitate to recommend Betz to anyone in need.
The facility is showing signs of decay both inside and outside, but I think it could addressed by hiring a handyman. The main entrance of the building is currently being used for storage, which doesn’t create the best impression when visiting your family member. Inside everything is perfectly suited to the day to day needs of the residents. The staff are attentive and do an excellent job of wrangling some of the more eccentric residents.
The staff berated my terminally ill brother for an argument with his wife, then they continued to talk badly about him to each other loudly enough to be heard from 30 feet away. Woefully understaffed. Visited my brother here and only saw 3 staff members for the entire building. Residents wandering around in wheelchairs staring into other residents room. Call lights were regularly not answered for over half an hour.
Great staff. P T area was very Proff and friendly and helped me walk out of there on my own after my 4 level major spine surgery. I was in my mid 70's at the time of my stay. I was there for 4 weeks. My room was Private and very quiet and clean. My meals were all very good and warm. I would def recommend this facility and in fact I am returning for another Rehab after I have R knee replacement surgery next mth. I live in Auburn so it's convenient for my family and friend's to visit. 🙏🥰
