The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from certification status, quality measures, and inspection reports maintained by CMS. A score of 850 places CHILDRENS SPECIALIZED HOSPITAL TOMS RIVER in NJ in the excellent (800–850) band. The score reflects publicly available regulator data — it is not a rating from Verdica itself and does not incorporate paid reviews or advertising.
Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from CMS. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of healthcare compliance — CMS star ratings, deficiency findings, and complaint outcomes — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from CMS: certification status, quality measures, and inspection reports. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. See the "source data current" indicator on the entity page for the last successful refresh.
Common negative signals include immediate-jeopardy findings, high deficiency counts, or termination notices. Any of these appear in the underlying regulator records and pull the sub-score down; the composite reflects the weighted impact.

My son has been going to children hospital in Toms River for 3+ years & every week he looks forward to being greeted by Mr. Chad Diller. He is so friendly & wonderful with all the kids. He is always smiling & has a pleasant positive vibe. It’s a great way to start his therapy seeing a happy friendly face as soon as you walk into the building & leaving the building. All the staff has been great but Mr. Chad Diller definitely goes over a beyond to make everyone feel welcomed.

Excelente muy buenos
The therapists work amazing with the children. They’re very calm, patient and caring. They notify you if they have availability for appointments. It just takes awhile for availability to open.
Our experience with the children’s specialized OT and PT team has been nothing short of amazing. Morgan, Haley, and Trish deserve a huge shoutout. They came prepared every week with new, creative ways to help my son grow, and the progress he made was incredible. He’s more confident, more capable, and genuinely excited about what he can do now. The environment is upbeat, welcoming, and spotless. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to any family.
