The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from certification status, quality measures, and inspection reports maintained by CMS. A score of 850 places LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR OF PALATINE in IL in the excellent (800–850) band. The score reflects publicly available regulator data — it is not a rating from Verdica itself and does not incorporate paid reviews or advertising.
Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from CMS. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of healthcare compliance — CMS star ratings, deficiency findings, and complaint outcomes — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from CMS: certification status, quality measures, and inspection reports. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. See the "source data current" indicator on the entity page for the last successful refresh.
Common negative signals include immediate-jeopardy findings, high deficiency counts, or termination notices. Any of these appear in the underlying regulator records and pull the sub-score down; the composite reflects the weighted impact.

Yes my name is Scott I'm a resident of the Little sisters of the poor a wonderful organization
Amazing place
Looking good
Can't speak to how wonderful the actual Nursing home is, but I can speak to the welcoming process. I was referred to this establishment from a Palatine resident who raved about how wonderful the people are. I was looking for assistance in bringing my elderly Mother here, who is a practicing Catholic. I've applied to several non-Catholic homes, and received warmer receptions from all of them. Was also surprised at the absence of any kind of God Bless salutations at end of the email when I had included in mine. I felt brushed aside with a list of "other" homes to try. Thanks for the other homes, and very disappointed in what was relayed to me about how welcoming your organization is. I've contacted quite a few looking for help for my Mom, and really unfortunate the one Catholic organization was the least helpful. I'll pass this onto the Palatine resident who referred me, so they don't make that mistake again.
Selfless people; wonderful organization. They care for people most in need. My favorite Charity because they do so much good.
