The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from complaint index ratios, financial ratings, and regulatory actions maintained by state insurance departments and the NAIC. Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from state insurance departments and the NAIC. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of insurance compliance — complaint index vs. peers, financial strength, and regulatory standing — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from state insurance departments and the NAIC: complaint index ratios, financial ratings, and regulatory actions. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. I have request a policy loan from Genworth on 12/18/2020. I waited till the end of Dec. to find out how come I have not received the check yet. I asked them to overnight to me and take the money from my proceed. The company said they are working on it after two weeks. I called today Jan 8th 2021. They said they are still working on it. I told them that other insurance company usually mail out the check in couple days.I am surprised that they are still working on it. I asked the customer service if he can tell me when I can expect the check. He said he will email to the department and put a rush on it. After 3 weeks, they will have to pout a rush on it. I told the customer that I am a licensed agent myself. From thi s esperience,I will not recommend anyone to buy from Genworth. The customer is the worst I have ever seen. I have policies from New York Life. The loan was easy. This is not the fault of the local office here. They have nothing to do with it.It is the company that I am really concern. Just don't buy from Genworth. They are many good service insurance companies out there. I told the customer that I would write a review.

I agree with the previous post. If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst long term insurance company. They have horrible customer service, find many ways to delay claim payments. Make you jump through hoops to file paperwork and if you have one document not correct, they delay your payment. When the issue is their mistake you still have to wait to get payment. I would never entrust any family member with this company.
Absolutely a rip off. Do not spend your hard earned money to this company. My mother is in final stages of vascular dementia. Been dealing with this for 3 months with no help. She paid $500.00 a month for 20 years. Around $100 thousand dollars. They got her money. We will be sueing the company thru her lawyer soon.
