To the Albany, NY chapter of this organization: If y’all are looking for volunteers, don’t expect people who work full time to be able to come in during the week to help out! And stop relying on unpaid volunteers to do clientele-facing work during the week. This should be PAID work that people do, not volunteering. Volunteering should mostly be for weekends when people with jobs would like to spend their free time helping out and doing community service.

I really appreciate Dress for Success because they have fashionable clothes including shoes, bags, make-up and jewelry. I even received a grey spring coat that is tailored so well. The employees are sweethearts. They pump you up so you're game for an interview. Please know you must get a referral letter. Lastly, they had great get-togethers and weekly morning meetings featuring executive women so that women can mingle, learn new things and share ideas.
Great staff! Very encouraging and helpful! The selection of professional attire for plus-size women was somewhat, limited. I’ve never gone to an organization for clothing. Of course, usually I pick and purchase my clothes. So, be prepared for how Dress for Success actually works. The staff picks for you based on some of your input. Still, I’m very appreciative for a service like this. Sometimes we all need a little help.
