Composite = Authority & Insurance × 35% + Safety Record × 40% + Inspection History × 25%, scaled to 300–850.Read full methodology →
Each sub-score starts at a baseline and adjusts based on real regulatory-record signals. Zero-delta rows show what we checked and confirmed clean. “Data quality” indicates how much source data informed the score.
These are unmodified public reviews from Google Reviews — not Verdica ratings or paid endorsements. Reviews shown as-published, positive and negative alike.

The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from safety inspection records and BASIC scores maintained by the FMCSA. A score of 819 places KELLER TRANSPORTATION INC in MD in the excellent (800–850) band. The score reflects publicly available regulator data — it is not a rating from Verdica itself and does not incorporate paid reviews or advertising.
Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from the FMCSA. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of trucking compliance — operating authority, crash indicator, driver fitness, and vehicle maintenance — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from the FMCSA: safety inspection records and BASIC scores. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. See the "source data current" indicator on the entity page for the last successful refresh.
Common negative signals include out-of-service orders, unsatisfactory safety ratings, or BASIC alerts. Any of these appear in the underlying regulator records and pull the sub-score down; the composite reflects the weighted impact.

The customer service/main office is rude and have no sympathy or attempt to make amends when the service has failed you. You get a lie when you are at the stop and know what happened. Then no apology when the truth comes out. No attempt at recovery for failed services on their part. We are at the mercy. *There are star bus drivers* Their system is broken when it comes to communication with the customer before, during and after issues arise.

We used Keller Transportation for shuttle services for our wedding in Prince Frederick, MD - picking our guests up from their hotel blocks to Running Hare Vineyard. We are so happy with the service we received. The shuttles ran exactly on time, and it was clear the drivers were experienced in navigating the windy forest road. When it came time for pick-up, they came to the top of the venue to be more accessible to lingering guests. Shout out to Irene also, who was always kind and accommodating through the booking process - including some late in the game changes! If you’re having a tough time getting a quote over email, just give them a call! They’re worth the wait and a good value for money.
I’m not sure what vetting process Keller puts their drivers through but it can’t be very stringent. The way these busses fly on the tiny two line roads in Waldorf and cross over the lines on two lanes roads you’d think they have Hellen Keller driving all of their buses. Yesterday morning at 6:30 I was following my husband to Sheehy Hyundai to have his car worked on. We were in the right lane on Leonard town road stopping at the Mattawomam Beantown road intersection and a Keller bus came flying down past us in the left lane, cut my husband off and almost hit him to jump into the far right Turing lane onto Mattawoman, cutting off more cars. This is absolutely ridiculous and unsafe driving for a transportation company.
Probably the most dangerous operators on the road. This company should be run out of town. I’ve seen these busses make some of the dumbest driving errors and had the misfortune of one pulling out in front of me at an intersection today.
The bus I ride is constantly cancelled mid-day without any time to rearrange my work schedule so I end up having to take the last bus. The buses also need cleaning. It’s disgusting. Not just the floors and windows but the seats. People are constantly skipping seats because of the grime and dirt all over them. Drivers are kind but their morale is low and I don’t blame them.
The Absolute WORST Bus Company in the DC metro area. Bus lines consistently cancelled mid day bc of "callouts or medical". Consistently late bus lines that do show. Avoid if you can or you're wasting ALOT of weekday time waiting around, even worse in 25-30 degree DC winters
