STEPHEN DOUGLAS JACKSON scores 796 — these providers rank higher on Verdica's composite trust score.
The Verdica score is a composite trust score from 300 to 850, computed from state license records, consumer complaints, and HUD enforcement maintained by state licensing commissions, the CFPB, and HUD. A score of 796 places STEPHEN DOUGLAS JACKSON in the strong (740–799) band. The score reflects publicly available regulator data — it is not a rating from Verdica itself and does not incorporate paid reviews or advertising.
Verdica combines three weighted sub-scores drawn from state licensing commissions, the CFPB, and HUD. Each sub-score reflects a different dimension of real estate compliance — license standing, disciplinary history, and complaint outcomes — and is normalized against industry peers before being aggregated to the 300–850 scale.
Verdica pulls public records from state licensing commissions, the CFPB, and HUD: state license records, consumer complaints, and HUD enforcement. Data is refreshed on rolling cycles, typically weekly to monthly depending on the source agency's own update schedule. See the "source data current" indicator on the entity page for the last successful refresh.

I spoke with Joe and he was incredibly informative and friendly. He took the time to explain my options very thoroughly and you could tell he put real thought into the different outcomes that may arise from each angle. Everyone has their idea of how they want to tackle a situation, but his non-dismissive expertise was well taken. Thank you, Joe!

The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson, P.A. is outstanding! We’ve worked with Alexis Egozcue, Mike Durkin, Doug Jackson, Joseph Pultrone, and Mark St. Louis — every one of them has been professional, responsive, and great to work with. They truly go above and beyond for their clients. Highly recommend this firm!
Doug is the very best for VA and military litigation. There’s nobody better in the business. Big shout out also to Mike Durkin and Stacey Bechtel who were always in touch with guidance. Thank you again.i really appreciate you guys.
Thus far I am incredibly grateful and thoroughly impressed by Mr. Jackson and all the staff at this law firm. After over 10 years of fighting with the veteran’s administration, they were able to help me get the disability benefits I’m entitled to. Their fight to assist me continues on to this day, and I look forward to their continued work!
I recently experienced an unexpected development in a legal matter when the attorney representing my case chose to withdraw, citing defamation from an outside party. This situation highlighted not only the personal and professional challenges attorneys may face but also raised questions about how external interference can impact legal representation. To be clear, the attorney in question had been handling the case competently up to the point of withdrawal. Communication was generally prompt, legal strategies appeared sound, and I felt that the case was being handled with due diligence. However, tensions escalated when an outside individual — not a party to the case — began making defamatory statements about the attorney, both publicly and directly to involved parties. According to the formal motion to withdraw, the attorney cited reputational harm and a compromised ability to represent the client objectively and effectively. While disappointing from a client’s perspective, the withdrawal was not handled in a professional manner. The attorney did give appropriate notice, filed the required documentation with the court, and did not offer guidance for finding alternate counsel. This incident underscored how vulnerable legal proceedings can be to outside disruptions, especially when reputational attacks undermine professional integrity. Attorneys, like anyone else, have the right to protect themselves from slander and harassment, especially when such behavior interferes with their capacity to uphold ethical standards or client interests. In conclusion, while I was dissatisfied with losing representation mid-case, I acknowledge the difficult position the attorney was placed in. Defamation by third parties can have far-reaching consequences — not just for the legal professionals involved, but for the clients relying on them. I would encourage completing a thorough investigation of hired attorney and the law firm's past and background. For reference, see the case numbers attached.
